Sadly, each and every one of them is true.

1. It costs a lot of money. I hate paying all those renewal fees - I understand how people may get quite frustrated with the cost of MyBB. Because we always advertise MyBB as being "free" it is difficult to translate "free" into a numeric value since "free" is a character string. Think like a computer... convert "free" to ASCII ==> 102+114+101+101 = $418!!!
2. Support also costs money. And there are never any support member on - By equating money and time by the popular phrase "time is money", it is true that support costs money.
3. Skins? What skins. There's no mod site or anything attached to the mybb site - What skins? I have no idea what you are referring to. MyBB has themes and templates, but why should we give you skin? Humans need skin, not computer programs. And as for the second part of the point regarding the mod site, we provide it as a link and not an attachment.
4. Did I already mention the cost? - Free = $418!
5. No 3rd party mod sites - I couldn't find any
6. Very hard to skin. So hard.... gosh - Again...why do people keep on talking about skin? Computers aren't humans and therefore don't have skin! They are encased in metal and plastic!
7. Very dead community. Nobody ever posts, or is ever on. - Rarely are there new posts when I press refresh.
8. Support is mean, rawr. - So...everybody gets grumpy every now and then, especially after a long day of work/school/life.
9. The admin cp is very old - Yes the concept of an Admin CP for MyBB is dated to before 2002.
10. Did I mention it's expensive? - Free = $418!

Which one? I'm going to agree with Infranight's guess but I don't think it's true.

i'd say the state of themes for 1.4 is pretty miserable, 90% of the released themes are recolours of the default with shoddy graphics. the best theme for 1.4 is still the first one released (Afresh)

also depending on who you are you might find the support team to be rude sometimes

But that's more of problem with forums in general not just MyBB. 90% of vB themes keep the same layout and style just more flashy images. Plus theme artists are getting better. I'm not sure IVGeo still does work but his stuff is great and Audentino also does amazing work. Not to mention FireFoxWiz is still getting better her self.

no doubt audentio is great, he really does unique stuff.

the problem is the image and colour swaps aren't even good.
