no template after fresh install (not upgrade)
Hello all,
I just installed a fresh copy of the latest build. For some reason the forum looks like this (both at home and on my work): I installed using MySQL Improved (normally I always use MySQL), could that be the issue? The admin panel looks normal though... EDIT: MyBB 1.2 runs normal on the same host (different location/database etc.) |

RE: no template after fresh install (not upgrade)
If not already, try setting the permissions (CHMOD) of your cache folder and all sub-directories/files to 777, as advised in the installation process, and see if that works.

RE: no template after fresh install (not upgrade)
I checked the CHMOD settings and it's already set to 777

RE: no template after fresh install (not upgrade)
The problem is that trying to access the style sheet gives me a 403 Forbidden error. Check for yourself: http://www.tangodown.nl/forum2/cache/the...global.css If you CHMOD the file, and give it standard permissions (usually 0644), it should work.
Please do not PM me about problems you might be having with MyBB. Post a thread, and someone on the support or development team will take a look at it. |

Strange, I checked the CHMOD for cache/themes/theme1/global.css and it's set to 644. The cache folder itself is set to 777 (which I set during installation). The other folders are as follows: /cache/themes is set to 766 /cache/themes/theme1 is set to 755 |

RE: no template after fresh install (not upgrade)
Try giving everything increased permissions until you get it working

I even did another fresh install to check if something went wrong with the install but same problem...
