Can't get admin powers anymore!

Greetings,

I had decided to stop being admin. But I changed my mind after a few months. I was the creator of the site, but left another peron in charge. He's in a different group but has admin powers.

I edited my account to normal user. I asked him to change me back as admin, but he says he gets an error message, saying that I'm 'super administrator' and hence untouchable. I can't login in the admin panel, have no powers at all and appear as a member on the forum.

So how do I fix this?

You could go in the database and change your stats from registered to super admin.

Two options:
1) Edit inc/config.php and remove yourself as being a super admin (you should find where if you look through the file), get admin'd, then reinstate yourself as a super admin
2) Edit your account by editing the DB (set your "gid" to 4)

I appreciate the help.

My fellow admin has not yet replied to the suggestions I sent him in a PM. It might be a bit too hard to understand the suggestions you made, Chasingu and Zinga, as he isn't a superb adminner (more or a poster ).

For instance, how does point 1 show up? Does it say something like: ''super admin: [my name] 'true' " ?
Point 2: what does DB mean? And gid is something that shows up too?

DB = the database. You'll need a client to edit your database, for example, phpMyAdmin.

Or sign up a new account ...ask him to admin that new one...then you can MERGE your old into the new or vice versa.
