That's not what that means. Maybe you misunderstand the intention of non-commercial vs open-source licenses. Almost all opensource type licenses allow for commericial usage. The restrictions are usually how it's redistributed and how the license remains intact.

I won't bother to use your buttons myself until you have this sorted out as you aren't making it clear to me. If a client asks me for a custom paid skin and I use your buttons as "part" of the design then the license you show allows that. That is commercial use though. Commercial basically for this discussion is defined as "intent to profit". That license offers you credit and perpetual credit as well as the license doesn't cease with distrubution forcing others to be able to do the same.

Consider also "Commercial" would be me creating a site for myself...then having ads on that site. That's also commercial use. This is what most opensource licenses allow for. Your ability to profit off the material without restrictions of that.

It would allow a site to use your images but from reading it I think it's safe to use for sites to profit. Limits on commercial usage appear to be reselling of work and modifcations of it.

I think that the one I found is the one you want. If I understand you properly. Do you care if a site using your buttons makes money from the site? Do you want people to be able to use your work yet not distribute it without your copyright?

The license allows for distribution and altering but not for sale. I couldn't for instance bundle this on a cd-rom and sell it.
