It should as 1.4 still support php4. With 1.6 though you may have a problem (That's not for a good while though).

Precisely ... there will be bugs no matter what ... however, the software can still be updated once it's released.

this is good and bad. i have been in the middle of building a "garage" for 1.2.x but it will have to wait. not a huge issue as I was thinking of figuring out how to bridge with a CMS anyway
