Whats the link to your forum?

Can you put this also in the wiki? this is the reason why RileyAlicia faced that problem.. i also got the same error. but after doing the above mentioned step, it got rectified..

there is no information in the wiki to run the install script.

If you look on the navigation bar on the installer page, there's a whole section dealing with running the installer Smile

@Tikitiki
I agree that its obvious from the error that i need to install the forum, but i found it hard to locate from where to run that install script. This was my first time with mybb. may be you are so used to it that you forget how people using it for the first time will find it hard.

@DennisTT

Are you talking abt the wiki page? Or is there any other page that deals with the installer? I checked the wiki page again, I'm sure it does not say anything about it.

check it again... http://wiki.mybboard.net/index.php/Installing

It deals with everything about uploading the files, using chmod to change permission, then it jumps to the configuration of the forum. it does not say, how to bring that configuration page(i.e running the install script). This is where i found it hard. so i thought of running the forum first, I got the error, So I searched for that error, I ended up in this thread and thats how i rectified it.

If i did miss the link that says how to run the installation script, Can you post that link back. I would like to know where i made the mistake of not looking in properly.

I just wanted to make your documentation more proper. So thought of helping out. Sorry if I wasted your time and my time of posting this message.
