RE: This good or??
Well, whatever. My standard cooling fans keep my CPU at 45C which is good enough for me. GPU stays at about 42C.
Happy camper. |

RE: This good or??
You should get an lian li case though. Other than that it seems fine.
I got this myself. Quote: * 1 EVGA nForce 780i SLI, nForce-780i SLI, Socket-775,DDR2,2xGbLAN, 3xPCI-Ex(2.0)16 |

RE: This good or??
My CPU fan spins a lot slower with the side of the case removed, but then, I'm using a case from a 1999 computer with an AthlonX2 4200+ CPU
![]() That build is pretty much what I'm planning on getting, except I already have a PSU, will be getting a 9600 or 9800 (the 9400 simply isn't worth it in terms of price/performance ratio - if you're not gaming, get a m/b with integrated graphics, or get a lower end card). Also thinking about geting a tri-core Phenom instead perhaps - it's like less than half the price of a Q6600 (not considering that AMD boards are cheaper than Intel ones). |

Although Intel has about 2/5 higher performance to date.

I'm going to wait to see what AMD releases with its next gen CPUs (meant to come out November/December) - if anything, it should help bring down some prices. An issue with the Q6600 is that with Intel's i7, there isn't terribly much upgrade path later on for the Socket 775, but that's the same with the Phenoms (from what I've heard). |

I am sorry to say Yumi but CraKteR is right me and a friend yesterday done some benchmarking to see what CPU would be the best so we got all different ones and the new intel ones are better then AMD right now. AND i am getting to parts today at 10:30 when MSY open also i have to get a different case as they sold out of the Antec Twelve-Hundred or i hope to get the Antec Nine-Hundred. I'm just saying for myself, it might be more economical to get an AMD CPU, considering it's half the price of an Intel one (actually even less if you factor in the motherboard). Your components in general are rather imbalanced - you've got a good CPU, reasonable RAM, bad graphics card, insane case and a good keyboard. What do you use the computer for mainly? |

RE: This good or??
I would always go with Intel. But, as said AMD is more economical.
I would agree with cutting back on the case but that's just me. I don't need anything flashy. I look at the screen no the case .

RE: This good or??
Okay well i got it and me and i friend made it all up and wow its nice i got the antec nine-hundred. and the cooling is so good my q6600 temp is only at 16© and its faster then my old computer by about 68% from what i tested in benchmarking and from what i can fill and see. Ill post some photo later.
