What, even for a test forum...?? Confused
Wamp5 has never been unstable for me, it always seems to work flawlesly for me ever sonce i been using it for about 3 to 4 years now ... also ive ran many things on it and never had any issues with it but i know my friend has had issues with it and ive been his savour all the time, cause I know how to use it no matter what your running!

the only thing I never tried with it was PEARL but i didint need it cause most stuff out there uses only php and mysql database
Wamp is OK but i found this to be even better Web-Developer Server Suite it has all that stuff and more.

No, sorry. Let me re-explain what I meantToungue

I do not recommend using WampServer5, or whatever you want to call it, in a LIVE environment, unless you know what you're doing - but even though, I wouldn't.
If anyone has had problems with Wamp5 Im sorry to hear
but I can always post a video on Youtube
to show everyone how easy it is to setup and run a test MyBB forum if amyone would like Smile

some people just give up after issues begin but like I have mentioned its working great for me and I was just brining Wamp5 up to people that are interested and want a webserver to setup a MyBB forum on there own PC ( for testing purposes )
or even as a PRODUCTION SERVER ( But they would need to secure wamp and other MyBB stuff )
to make it on the WEB if they wanted to host it LIVE

Thank You
Oh, no, I'd never use it for a live forum in any circumstance, same with XAMPP.

I'm pretty sure it mentions in both places, before you download, not to use them in production environments.

I used upgraded XAMPP to PHP 5.2.8 and mySQL 5.1.30 no problems. Don't see why I need anything more for a *test* environment Toungue
well guys i still love yah but i love my wamp5 Smile
when i install a new mybb with wamp5,

it show
Error

There seems to be one or more errors with the database configuration information that you supplied:

* Could not connect to the database server at 'localhost' with the supplied username and password. Are you sure the hostname and user details are correct?

Once the above are corrected, continue with the installation.

how to create new database with phpmyadmin?
I prefer XAMPP, easier and more secure. You can view all security errors on a single page and correct them.

@bapak siapa: Go to PhpMyAdmin (presumably http://localhost/PhpMyAdmin , although I'm not sure) and where it says 'Create a database' type the name in the text box and hit create. Then use the details to setup your forum.
Side note: NEVER use IIS. Most insecure server platform EVER.
