I think there's somethign wrong with the URL to your forum. The forum settings are correct yet when you click them on the index it just loads the index, and the cookie settings are right too, but you said you get logged out... but then again the URL in the settings is http://forum.woodlandsfalconry.com and that seems ok to me

Well clicking the forums is meant to take you to that forum.....
You can try reinstalling, might work.

non of the forum pages exist - looking at html logs - they all return a 404 e.g. forum-2.html

You're good to go, disabled the search engine friendly URL setting

cool - I saw u in there and then it started working
thanks 4 the help
so without the "search engine friendly URL setting" what do I get or not get with that feature?
will google etc. still trawl thru and find stuff?
will u let me know when u think u've fixed this (new release or whatever) so I can try it again
Thanks

Sounds like an issue with your .htaccess file. But if you're satisfied with Matt_'s workaround then fine.

Yeah Google will still crawl, that feature just makes it more efficient I guess.
I'm not really clued up on .htaccess... thelal, post the contents of your .htaccess file here and see if anyone can see what could have been wrong. I'd rather the underlying problem gets fixed rather than having to mask it really.

I've not updated any .htaccess file so whatever is there is as part of regular install of mybb.
I host this on my own server.
Do u still want a copy?
