MyBB Community Forums

Dear MyBB users,

Plenty of forums are running MyBB, however, only a very small percent of them are being showcased on the MyBB forum directory. This is why I made this sticky thread. Nite is the owner of this MyBB directory (MyBBoogle), so if you have any questions, feel free to ask him whatever you want.

Please note that the showcase forum rules are still valid.

As many of you are aware, both relevant link building and quality link exchanging is an important aspect of having your forum rank well in the search engines. To this end, The MyBB Forum Directory offers free, relevant, and quality links that revolve around the MyBB niche.

It is the MyBB Forum Directory's hope that submitting your forum to the directory in addition to offering constructive discussions for those sites listed in the showcase section will help both novice and experienced forum administrators obtain organic traffic.

* Free submission.
* Links should directly link to your MyBB forum, or to a landing page that clearly links to your MyBB forum.
* Contact the directory administrator with any comments or suggestions.

Hello everyone.

I wanted to publicly thank Destroyer for creating this sticky post.

The directory requires a registration, which consists of a username and password. This will allow people to modify/edit/remove their submissions. Valid email addresses are required in case you forget your password.

In order to edit your submission:

• Log into your account
• Select "View my links"
• Underneath your link description, select "Review."
• To remove the link, select Mark for removal:
• To edit the submission, simply reword your description and other information.
  

In order to get in touch with me

• Use the contact form
• Contact me especially if someone has changed their forum from MyBB to something else; MyBB Forums are the only forums allowed in here.
• I have the directory forwarding all inquires to my gmail account, so you'll most likely receive a reply from my gmail address. tonygrijalva [at] gmail [dot] com .
  

Um...not to put down any of Nites work but I have a very nice simple to navigate (no ads) directory for mybb already. http://www.mybbdirectory.com (PR3 btw)

Nites site looks great but I am just a bit dissappointed he gets a sticky while my directory gets no mention. I just believe in fairness if you want to make a sticky about directories for mybb submission you should include a the few that already exist. Mybbfans has a great directory as well.

I do realize that mybbdirectory.com could use some work but realize I made the script so there was work involved there. I could easily have used phpld but decided to try something fresher.

btw sorry Destroyer if I made a bit of a stink. Just looking for fairness not only to my site but to the members as well. If there are more than one place to showcase a mybb forums it's helpful to know them.

If someone wants to see his/her directory added too, just ask.

Perhaps we should have a sticky thread that contains links to threads about directories? Kinda like we have in the Code Modifications.

That way we can put MyBB Fans and these two in as well.

I totally agree with you here. I'm more than willing to place permanent links to other MyBB directories in the sidebar of the directory that I run, i.e., link exchanging with other MyBB directories.
