No, you have to download some mods from http://mods.mybboard.com, upload the plugin files to your inc/plugins folder, and activate them through the admincp (one click).

The answer to your question is YES. Just find plugins you like and upload the plugin files to inc/plugins/ on your server. Then, just one click installs it. You don't have to alter any code yourself.

I think he means plugins that are already in the plugins folder on install.

Well we don't package plugins on default MyBB. That just means everybody has to download x number of plugins whether they will use it or not, and that makes download take longer, and uses up more bandwidth here for something that isn't used.

Since 1.2.x, the license has been revised to allow "fully-modified" (etc) MyBB's, see the [Wiki: License] for more information.

I recall MM saying that there was a plugin that was going to do something like that soon...but I can't find where.

I was talking to someone a while ago (I believe it was decswxaqz) about a plugin that would download files from the MyBB Mods server, directly into the plugins directory. It's still in the planning stages but it is something I'd very much like to turn into reality soon.

I had something like that for 1.0.x but I never bothered updating it. I think it's still somewhere on the forum if you'd like to take a look. I'll send you the 'server' part of it too if you want to take a look.
