I never really offered my users the option to delete their own posts, and after converting to MyBB, few of my users were happy and many were unhappy over the "delete post/topic" option. No one really tried it, so I went ahead and gave it a try (I was a bit surprised earlier, because I had disabled the delete post/thread option for all usergroups).
On trying, it sent me to a no permission page, and it was some relief. However, the text has caused a start of debate in my community as it's kind of misleading.
The most worrying part was the delete thread option, as my users understood it. I had to give a long explanation.
Anyways, in short, this needs to be change! The text shouldn't be visible at all if the user doesn't have permission to delete the post/topic. (i.e. on edit post page if you're still wondering what I was referring to, all this while.)

Quote:"To delete this post, check the checkbox to the left and then click the button to the right.
Note: If this post is the first post in a thread deleting it will result in deletion of the whole thread."
