I am surprised to see that there is no way to bridge MyBB with any CMS whatsoever (aside from building my own). You would say this can be done. For example with CMS Made Simple or Joomla. I am developing a forum/portal site that runs 3x MyBB, 1x Coppermine and 1x CMS. MyBB integration with Coppermine is done already. Also the sharing of users and usergroup with other MyBB installs is working smoothly.

Now I am stuck, trying to add a CMS layer above these components. I have not yet decided which CMS I'll use. CMSMS looks nice, Joomla looks even better. But there's no MyBB support / bridge / integration, not even on the simplest level of sharing the user and usergroups.

Are there any plans developing such a bridge? Is there any CMS available that bridges / integrates with MyBB??

You would say many people have these same questions...
there is a bridge for mkportal, and some modules for joomla
I would be very interested in a Joomla module / bridge. The only thing I would need is logging in to one system, so that users have acces to Joomla as well as MyBB. Just like the coppermine / MyBB bridge.
unfortunately there is not a joomla bridge, there are some modules to show the latest posts etc. on joomla mainpage
That's bad luck. Strange that there are just a few posts on the internet about this topic. You'd say there must be more people wanting this...Thanks anyway.
Request it on there forums they might be able to do it if its really needed. i would use it if there was a bridge
I am very interested in the same kind of bridge too: one registration both for Jommla and Mybb.
This would keep me from going to use SMF instead...

Shame... Sad
It should be a very good thing if there should be a bridge from Mybb and Joomla.
I tried to manage registrations working manually on databases (copying the registration's data from joomla's tabel and pasting it in mybb table), but Mybb uses some special fields managing passwords in users' table ('salt' and 'loginkey') that are very different from Joomla and copying only 'username' and 'password' gives errors logging in mybb.
Well, personally I find it a missed changed from MyBB's perspective. Other forum packages do supply bridges to other packages. I won't name them, that would not be polite, but still...

MyBB bridges with nothing. Asking for help about this matter won't help also, I did that. No reply, other than "No-one is willing to do it". (look here)

Really a missed change in my opinion.
